Howdy! I am sorry that this note has been slow to go out. My computer
crashed and I am using someone's now to get this out. Thank you all for
keeping me in your prayers. I am in North Wilkesboro, NC. I never, ever
thought I would be here nor did I want to be here, but God's plans do not
usually make sense at the time. I knew this is where the Lord wanted me,
but as usual I had a hard time listening. I had every excuse in the world
not to be in North Wilkesboro. I finally did a small step of obedience
and took a position as a houseparent at a Christian Children's Home (Don't
laugh!! I know I have said I would never be a houseparent again!)
Even after taking the position, I would not commit to being here very
long.

In May, things began to come to light as to what the Lord had up His
sleeve!!! Years ago in New York City a little girl, Keenie, lived with me
for four years. She got mixed up in things and I would hear from her
every now and then (especially when she got in trouble!) I was here in NC
for a little over a month when Keenie came to visit and stayed. I am very
proud of her because it was a hard decision and this move has not been
easy for her. Keenie was pregnant when she moved down and she had a
beautiful baby girl on Aug. 22. Keenie is going to school to get her GED
and hopefully will go on to college.

It is not always easy, but the Lord is providing. Please pray for Keenie
as she continues to leave her past behind and work toward the future.
Pray for our little girl, Kiara, and continue to pray for me. I am trying
to help Keenie and I work in a level 2 home. It is for children who have
been severely abused and have many problems: emotional and physical!

My computer died a month ago and I am borrowing someone's right now. I am
not sure when I will be able to get a computer, so my email access is
limited. However I can still be reached by snail mail and by phone. My
address is: 366 Nelson Lane
Miller's Creek, NC 28651

Phone: cell 336-452-2611 Home 336-881-0454

I covet your prayers and I appreciate your support. Thank you for
everything. I will be here until the Lord leads me differently!

 In His Service,
 MARY
